League tryout eligibility rules are at each club’s discretion, and may differ depending on the club. For Bellingham/Whatcom County, you need to be an Armory Pickleball member and/or a member of the Bellingham Pickleball Club.

Club administrators will reserve courts based on published HOP schedule.
-
Team names will be the name of the club followed by division. In example, Armory Pickleball-Div12
HOP League T-shirts will be provided as part of the league dues (teams will get to pick the color).
-
Houses of Pickleball is run by a great group of people under Pablo Granados of Pickleball Kingdom and Courtney Jenkins of Armory Pickleball.
-
The league runs October 1, 2025 – mid-March 2026, with matches every Wednesday at 6:30 PM. The season is split into four sessions (each 4 weeks long), ending with a Regional Playoff (5th week of play if your Team makes it!) After Session 4, the top teams from each region advance to the State Playoffs
-
3 hours of battle at each “House”; a team format (timed rally scoring) consisting of men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Only one team may emerge victorious!
-
This is at each club’s discretion depending on how they run tryouts. For example, Armory Pickleball will conduct tryouts based on individual registration only (no team signups). They will also separate men’s and women’s tryouts for each division.
-
Yes, a DUPR account is required because your DUPR rating determines which division (12, 14, 16, 18) you qualify for. Non-rated players can choose to play in any division except for Division 18.
-
Regional Playoffs take place at the end of each session to determine session champions.
State Playoffs are held after Session 4, bringing together regional champions (PNW - North vs. PNW - Island vs. PNW - Central) to determine the state winners in each division.
-
Coordinate with your local club for registration details and ensure you opt into their email communications to receive announcements and league updates on HOP.
-
Alternate players are 4 additional players (2 males & 2 females) that tried out for the team but didn’t make the top 4. These players can travel with the team to different clubs to compete in games. They can be placed in the starting roster or subbed into the game at any point.
-
All players must pay the club for the cost of a team shirt. Without a team shirt, players cannot play in league.
Subs paying for games is up to the discretion of the captain and team vote.
